How does the Catex BP Hub work?

STEP 1

Evaluation and treatment advice by treating doctor

The treating doctor conducts a thorough evaluation that takes place at the hospital or at the doctor’s clinic. This includes:

  • Detailed medical history
  • Thorough medical examination
  • Recording of clinical parameters including
    • Current therapy, pharmaceutical and surgical
    • Other medication advice
    • Diet prescription
STEP 2

Home management

Daily monitoring and documentation of history by Catex Health nurse in patient record with regard to adherence to medications, diet and/or uncontrolled BP.

Catex BP Hub blends technology and healthcare delivery to assist and enable patients to reach their personalised goals of managing blood pressure levels. This helps reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, kidney damage and loss of vision.

STEP 3

Monitoring of clinical parameters and real-time integration with patient record

The patient is provided a Bluetooth-enabled weighing machine, BP monitor and/or glucometer, as per requirement. The patient and their family are educated on the use of these devices to record readings, which would then seamlessly get integrated into their cloud– based health record through their smartphone.

  • Weight – once a day
  • Blood pressure – twice/thrice a day
  • Blood sugar – as indicated
STEP 4

In case of any alarm based on treating doctor’s advice, the following courses of action are available:

  • Nurse will guide the patient’s family on immediate action to be taken as per documented doctor’s advice.
  • Nurse will call the treating doctor and ask for further course of treatment (if any)
  • Nurse will assist and book a video consultation with the treating doctor
  • Patient can also book a video consultation with the treating doctor

The service is designed on the basis of recognised global protocols, and patients always stay under the treatment of their doctors.

(dependant on their age and coexisting medical conditions,
